International Application and Admission Process
Admission procedures are established for all programs. Priority is given to Canadian residents and landed immigrants. Provision may be made for international students applying to programs. International applicants are encouraged to have completed documents submitted by May 31 for programs starting in August/September of each academic year. Tuition deposits should be submitted through Flywire by June 30.
Important Notes:
Parkland College does not defer applications from one year to the next.
Parkland College sends all official correspondence to the email address stated on an application form.
English is the language of instruction and examination at Parkland College. If English is not your first language you must have the equivalent of IELTS minimum 6.5 with no bands less than 5.5. You will need to provide evidence of having the English language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing necessary to be successful in the program to which you are applying.

Study Permits
- International Students must apply for a Canada Study Permit from the Canadian Embassy if you plan to study for more than six months.
- The official letter of acceptance must be included with your study permit application.
- It is mandatory to produce a valid study visa before July 31. Otherwise you will not be accepted into the program. Please apply for your study visa before May 15 to ensure enough processing time. You can find more information about the study permit process at http://www.cic.gc.ca
- In addition to the letter of acceptance, you will have to prove that you have sufficient funds to cover tuition costs and living expenses for the duration of your study period.
