Masks now optional at Parkland College campuses, training locations

July 19th, 2021

As of Monday, July 19, masks/face coverings are no longer mandatory at Parkland College campuses and training locations.

Staff, learners, and visitors may still wear a mask if they so choose, and the College will support that choice.

Although physical distancing is also not required, please allow for comfortable spacing and avoid crowding to help provide a gradual transition to the new normal.

Please note that broker institutions and/or community partners may not have the same protocols as Parkland College does. When visiting other organizations, staff and students are asked to comply with the host’s expectations.

Like other post-secondary institutions, Parkland College is committed to doing its part to fight the spread of COVID-19 and to help keep our communities safe. Vaccines are not mandatory at the College, but students, staff, and visitors are encouraged to get fully vaccinated to help Protect the Parkland.

As the summer progresses, Parkland College’s Safety Department will monitor campuses, collaborate with partner institutions, and follow case numbers in our region. The College will announce further changes and updates, if required, before the start of the 2021-22 academic year.
